Welcome to the Coatesville Area School District

We are excited to have you join our Coatesville family. Coatesville Area School District uses an online student registration program that allows parents/guardians to input student information right from the comfort of their own home, office, public library, or any other web-hosted location. Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment while maintaining consistent procedures and practices for enrolling our students. Once registration is complete and accepted, parents/guardians will receive an official confirmation from the district.

Please Note: If you are returning to Coatesville from a charter or home school program, you must complete an online registration form.

Boundary Locator

Coatesville Area School District’s registration process begins with the online registration form. To complete the form, you must first have an active personal email account. If you do not have access to the internet, a device to use, or need assistance in completing the online application, we have computers available at the Administration Building where you can complete the registration process with assistance. Please contact the Central Registration Team at 610-466-2400 to reserve a time to do so.

This form provides the district with important contact and demographic information needed to create the initial student record. Please gather the documents requested below to upload in your application. Registration is not complete until ALL required documentation has been received by the district. Be prepared to spend 15 minutes to a half hour filling out the form online, plus whatever time you’ll need to collect and prepare the documents we’ll need.

Please only register if your child is not currently enrolled at Coatesville Area School District.

If you are unable to complete the registration process all at once, you may save your work and log back in to continue where you left off.  If need be, Contact Central Registration Team at 610-466-2420 for assistance.

If you have more than one child to register, you will be able to start a registration for the second, etc. child once you submit the information for the first student. All pertinent information you provided for the first student will automatically be entered for the other children.

Required Registration Information

  • Parent/Guardian Photo ID . This is used to verify the person’s identity completing the registration.  (PA Driver's License / PA Identification Card of the person legally authorized to register the child.)
  • Proof of child’s age.  Any of the following constitutes acceptable documentation: birth certificate, baptismal certificate; copy of record of baptism-notarized or certified and showing the date of birth; notarized statement from the parents or a relative indicating the date of birth; a valid passport; a prior school record indicating the date of birth.   • Proof of Residency for Parent/Guardian who resides in the Coatesville Area School District. (Title/ Deed / Current Tax Bill / Mortgage Document / Current Lease Utility Bill (example: PECO / PA Water) *** Even if you already have a child(ren) attending a school in CASD, proof of residency is still required to be shown for each new student enrolled within the district.

Parents or guardians who reside with a friend or relative in the Coatesville Area School District must complete Multiple Occupancy paperwork.  Multiple Occupancy paperwork can be obtained at the Registration Office. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Supervisor of Pupil Services at 610-466-2420.

The law permits medical, moral or religious exemptions if the appropriate forms are completed and kept on record at the child's school. These forms may be obtained by contacting the child's school nurse. Students with medical, moral or religious exemptions may be excluded from school in the event of an outbreak of vaccine-preventable diseases.

PA Immunization Requirements

Required Medical Forms

Your child can be registered prior to the medical and dental forms being completed. Both medical and dental examinations must be completed within one year prior to the beginning of the school year.

  • Immunization Record Completed immunization records printout from a pediatrician Written statements are required for religious and medical exemptions.
  • Updated Physical Exam Pennsylvania School Law requires a medical examination by a physician for all students entering kindergarten, 6th grade, and 11th grade, as well as all new students regardless of grade level.
  • Updated Dental Exam The Pennsylvania Department of Health requires all children to have a dental examination upon entry into school (kindergarten or 1st grade), as well as in 3rd and 7th grade.

In addition, the following documents can also be uploaded during registration when appropriate.

    • Academic records
    • Special Education Records If your child has an IEP or any special education requirements, please bring that documentation with you.  (including IEP, ER, RR, 504, GIEP, etc.)
    • In the event of a shared custody arrangement, please include a copy of the custodial order. In the absence of a court order of custody, the district has a custodial form that can be generated but can only be used for educational rights purposes.

    After completing your online registration, PowerSchool will send a submission confirmation email.

    Kindergarten Students: After submission of your information, you may need to finalize your enrollment at the Administration Building.
